Nature Heals hands on workshops; First one coming to the Hunter, NSW Sunday April 5

Nature Heals, at the Museum of Art and Culture Lake Macquarie on Sunday April 5th (9.30am – 3.30pm).

The day begins with a traditional Tea Ceremony overlooking the beautiful surrounds of Lake Macquarie. Meet the authors of Nature Heals who will share the story of their inspiring new book and share the value of this work. Explore your senses through herbs, flowers and other treasures from nature. Then gather in the garden to experience the creative and healing process of EarthArt. For lunch Health and Happy Heart will provide a workshop to embrace mindfulness and nutrition as we prepare a vegetarian meal together…. discover how to be spontaneous with a basket of seasonal produce. Then enjoy the beauty of design and nature connections in Permaculture. The final workshop will guide us through the art & beauty of flowers with Chinese watercolour on rice paper and end the day with peaceful reflections.
The workshop is suitable for people ‘working in’ or ‘interested in’ the field of Naturebased Therapies (such as Horticultural Therapy & EcoTherapy) or for anyone who will enjoy a nature connection after a stressful & emotional summer! Your workshop fee includes a copy of Nature Heals Book, lunch & materials.
Afterwards enjoy touring the current gallery exhibitions https:// mac.lakemac.com.au/current-exhibitions or visit the new Lakeview Cafe for their special coffee & cake offer.
